Ayoola Accepts Position At University of Michigan

Congratulations to Gabriel Ayoola, a PhD graduate and Graduate Teaching Assistant in Comparative Literature, who has accepted a position at University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He will be responsible for building their Yoruba Program and teaching African Literature and other content courses.

Originally from Nigeria, Gabriel holds a B.A (Ed) in English/Yoruba Language and Literature, and he has taught English Language at the ICT Polytechnic Itori-Ewekoro (Nigeria). He has also taught Yoruba both in Nigeria and in the United States. He holds a M.A from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, in African Languages and Literature. The title of his Master's thesis is Yoruba Anthroponomastics as Symbols: Their Morphophonological Processes and Their Meaning.
